prior to the release of their debut single "dishes" acassi spent many years attempting to reach an astral state by residing in the sewers under stockholm, sweden. this was unsuccessful. 
upon resurfacing in los angeles, california in 2018, they signed with lemoyne records. 
now they live in chicago, il, and make songs whenever it feels appropriate. 

with wet, heavy textures and melancholy harmonies, freyja acassi builds a unique world with every track. Her inspirations include swedish folk, minimalist pop, and the sounds that waft in from windows.
